AusArt Day 2026 Unites Australian Artists in Nationwide Fundraising Effort

On 22 October 2026, Creative Australia hosted AusArt Day, a national initiative aimed at raising funds for artists and arts organisations across the country through a coordinated 12-hour digital campaign.

AusArt Day 2026 was held on Thursday, 22 October, as a nationwide fundraising event supporting Australian artists and arts organisations. The initiative was open to all artists and groups, regardless of size or scale, following an open-access model that encouraged broad participation.

The event featured a 12-hour digital fundraising campaign, during which participants promoted their projects and creative ambitions. Creative Australia coordinated live reporting of fundraising results at scheduled times throughout the day to maintain engagement and transparency.

All registered participants received a campaign toolkit to assist with their fundraising efforts. In addition, Creative Australia provided three professional development opportunities to support participants in maximising their impact during AusArt Day.

One of the participants was the VIC Choral Institute Melbourne (chime), which used the platform to raise funds to represent Australia at the 2027 World Choir Games in Austria, marking the 25th anniversary of the event.

AusArt Day 2026 demonstrated a sector-wide effort to mobilise the creative community, offering a unified platform for artists and organisations to secure funding for their work. The initiative reflects an ongoing commitment to supporting the arts across Australia through collective action and digital innovation.
